Jessie Huggett is glad to be back dancing with Propeller Dance after a break to heal from strokes and brain surgery. Before joining Propeller in 2007, she toured with Dandelion Dance Company and her work I Am, exploring Down syndrome and inclusion, is included in the I Can Dance a Better World curriculum. Jessie’s accomplishments include: Ottawa Youth in Culture grant (2018); Tridium, collaboration with musician Jesse Stewart (2017); OAC Artist Educators Certificate (2015); Out of the Box, co-choreography with Renata Soutter, (Dusk Dances, 2013); Jane Cameron Award (2005), Spirit of the Capital Award (runner up, 2005), Top 20 Under 20 finalist (2005).
