Elizabeth Emond-Stevenson is an emerging franco-ontarienne dance artist & writer from Orléans, ON / unceded Algonquin territories. Within the realms of dance and writing her occupations include choreography, performance, education and production, as well as poetry and nonfiction. She creates under the moniker TAKE UP SPACE.
Elizabeth’s work has been presented/supported through platforms such as Free Flow Dance Theatre’s WIP Series (Saskatoon), The Annual Alberta Dance Festival (Calgary), NextFest (Edmonton), Skylines Dance & Film Series (Calgary & Winnipeg), The Movement Gallery (Ottawa) and Dark Horse Dance Projects (Ottawa). She choreographed for Dancers’ Studio West’s Creative Lab 2018 (Calgary) and participated in adelheid’s re:research 2018 (Toronto). Elizabeth developed and implemented a series of movement workshops for Amethyst Women’s Addiction Centre (Ottawa).
Elizabeth is delighted to be teaching with Propeller Dance this season.
