Call to Artists: RBC Emerging Choreographers Program
Propeller Dance has launched a new program for Dance Artists with Disability. There are few established dance choreographers with disability in Canada and it is vital that we support their contribution towards putting integrated contemporary dance on the international map.
Propeller Dance Co-Artistic Directors Renata Soutter and Shara Weaver will select artist(s) to participate. The program will provide:
- Studio time and access to create on the Propeller Dance Company, which consists of up to seven professional dancers with and without disability.
- Mentorship and training in choreography, specifically related to integrated dance creation techniques developed over ten years of work.
- Opportunity to receive feedback at in-studio works-in-progress showings of the work.
- Production support for presentation of finished work in a theatre setting.
- A nominal artist fee.
